If you’re reading this, it’s likely you are struggling with anorexia or some form of restricted eating. It either has, or will, become a central part of your life, shaping your days, your thoughts, your feelings and your interactions. It may be impacting your work or relationships, and it will be most definitely affecting your happiness. You might feel trapped, exhausted, or even hopeless about finding a way out.

If you are like I was pre recovery ,maybe you have forgotten what real happiness even feels like.

I want to say this clearly and directly: you can recover. All that is required from you is a will to embrace a better life, and a commitment to do what it takes to get there. I will be here to support you through the fears, but also those amazing freeing moments that will increase over your time in recovery, until you live a life that is really free from the exhaustion and isolation of an eating disorder.

Perhaps you’ve been struggling for a long time, and now, at a later stage in your life, you might feel all hope of recovery is gone. I completely understand how overwhelming it may feel to change a lifetime of ingrained beliefs about food and body, but I want you to hear this directly from me: it’s NEVER too late.

I understand that feeling of despair having struggled with a restrictive eating disorder for over 30 years, and at the age I chose recovery I was also dealing with a recent ADHD diagnosis and symptoms of peri menopause, so it felt like everything was against me, but what felt impossible at one point became a reality, and what is on the other side is transformation that truly allows you to live a life you might not have thought possible.

No matter how many years you’ve spent struggling, no matter how entrenched your habits feel, it’s all possible. You deserve a life filled with freedom, peace, and joy, regardless of your age.
