Have you experienced trauma, whether as a child or an adult, and do you have a sense that these past experiences have played a part in your current struggles – perhaps affected your self-worth, your relationship with your body, or your eating disorder itself?
Trauma does not have to be complex to change our beliefs about who we are, to impact how we feel about ourselves, or to seriously impact our mind and body. While it can feel painful to connect dots from your past that may have led to your eating disorder, this is not about blame, its about release and lightening the burden of that trauma to enable you to live a free life in the present.
I want to be clear: I am not a trauma therapist, but have experienced trauma and know how this impacted my eating disorder journey, and how working through it helped me to recover .
We can gently and safely work on analysing where those feelings come from. We can explore the roots of your self-worth struggles, your body image challenges, and how they might be intertwined with past experiences.
And then, most importantly, we will focus on how we can reframe them. My goal is to help you build new pathways, new understandings, and new ways of relating to yourself. This isn’t about dwelling on the past, but about understanding its influence so we can actively reshape your present and future.
We will work to make you feel truly worthy of full freedom – not just around food, but in all areas of your life.
I understand you will have lots of questions about your eating disorder, I know I did, so please do contact me for a free consultation where you can get to know me and I can get to know you.
Our initial call will be a safe environment where you can share your struggles and your fears, there no stupid questions, no fear that is silly, no situation that you cannot break free from. I look forward to speaking to you.
Depending on what you need we can discuss what investment you will make into a life of full freedom, improved health, improved happiness, improved relationships, because I promise all of these will be waiting for you at the end of this journey.
